About the Role
Our Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and closing new Fortune 1,000 advertisers for Ignite’s customer acquisition channels.This person will leverage their sales, presentation and relationship building skills to close high caliber advertisers. With the support of our sales coordinators, they will work cross-functionally with Ignite teams to successfully move business forward through the onboarding and launch process. This person is a highly driven, self-motivated, proven sales professional who can confidently represent our company as a leader in the digital advertising space.
Responsibilities:
Establish themselves as a leader in the advertising community, effectively and persuasively communicating Ignite’s overall business objectives and value proposition
Identify key Fortune 1000 advertisers, the largest U.S. advertising spenders, and leading D2C brands through a variety of methods
Conduct prospecting outreach to new advertisers through multiple touchpoints, securing sales calls with prospective clients
Prepare and conduct high-impact sales presentations to marketing decision-makers and high-level executives
Conduct timely and persuasive follow-up calls, emails, and meetings to efficiently close new business deals
Develop a strong understanding of clients’ goals and objectives, and build a customized sales strategy to achieve them
Partner with Ignite legal team to effectively negotiate contracts with new partners
Work cross functionally with Ignite operations and creative teams to develop campaign deliverables
Collaborate with Account Managers to efficiently launch, manage, and scale campaigns, ensuring excellent Customer Satisfaction levels with every customer engagement
Efficiently track sales progress, keeping active opportunities up to date in the CRM system
Hold self accountable to KPI and revenue attainment targets
Lead post-launch strategy, pitch exclusive/AOR, conduct quarterly business reviews and routine goal-setting sessions with key clients within your book of business
Attend client meetings and industry conferences on a quarterly basis to build customer relationships and network for new business
Drive revenue for Ignite through the successful development of an individual book of business
Required Skills:
~3-5 years of experience in a sales and/or digital marketing role
Existing knowledge of current digital marketing ecosystem, especially in the areas of data-driven and performance-based marketing
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral, with a strategic sales mindset
Proven track record of successfully meeting sales goals
Results-oriented, accountable, strong work ethic and a strong team player
Positive, resilient and able to adapt quickly in an ever-changing environment
Effective time management skills – ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Bachelor's degree in business or related field
